Our Program recognizes the importance of the network of mutual aid groups operating all over the country to support those who are directly or indirectly faced with the problem of dependence on alcohol or other substances. With their agreement, we offer to you the opportunity to get in touch with groups of Alcoholics Anonymous or Al-Anon groups addressed to family members of those who drink too much, so that, depending on your area of residence, you can benefit from additional support in your recovery program. On the other hand, is known that the therapy group is essential in recovery from dependence. This is underlined by the St. Fathers of the Church who have emphasized the fundamental role of community in the process of restoring spiritual health: “Man can pity alone, but only in communion can heal himself”. That's why, some of the therapeutical Centers of the Orthodox Church offers the possibility of integrating the treatment groups, coordinated by adiction counselors with experience.
