At present, alcoholism and drug consumption have exceeded the stage of simple phenomenon and seems to be some of the most serious and alarming problem that human civilization is facing . It may be said that, at present, it has exceeded the reasonable level of tolerance and understanding towards the current standards of humanity, but consumption is involved in a number of people of about 3% of world population. The organization of the caring sistem for these people, is a combination of therapeutic interventions, covering the full spectrum of services (centers, programs, or other types of assistance) available to the consumer of alcohol and drugs in accordance with its needs and in a certain period of time. The National Anti-Drugs Program initiated by the Romanian Orthodox Church wants to reunite the factors that fight to stop this phenomenon (charitable organizations, religious institutions of the Romanian State or the European Community, etc.) and whose experience might be useful to those who will, or must be involved.
